Daniel Leach - Chief Technical Officer of Optimize

Daniel Leach

Owner and Chief Technical Officer

Daniel is the primary who handles lab workflow automation, programming and instrument set up, focusing on the lab’s needs by marrying technology and functional specifications.  Daniel has 25 years’ experience working in lab automation, with perspective from both the vendor and lab.  Coming from the vendor side, Daniel worked as an Application Specialist and was instrumental in designing instrumentation and tools to help customers be most successful.  As a lab director, Daniel grew his automation expertise and understanding of lab needs, applying that to his customers in this current role.  His proficiency in both process development and analytical procedure makes him very well rounded in ability to understand and implement customer needs.  Daniel holds a degree in biochemistry & molecular biology from University in Cardiff, Wales. 

Daniel also enjoys sports of almost any kind, especially F1 racing, European football, American football and Rugby.

Kristine Kearns

Chief Operating Officer

Kristine is primarily responsible for marketing and accounting at Optimize, but also plays a role in working with clients at Optimize.  With her combined 22 years’ experience in all aspects of working in and running an automated analytical lab in research at a major pharma, and her project management experience, she is also pivotal to working through laboratory needs and scope.  Whether the project be a large integrated build, or simple automation of a workflow, her expertise lends itself to any project size.  Kristine holds a B.S. degree from Gwynedd Mercy University and has completed her certification in Project Management.  Her strong organizational skills, work experience and passion for automation drives her to deliver the very best for customers. 

Outside of the consulting business, Kristine enjoys spending time with her extended family and is also a certified yoga teacher, who enjoys working with people to achieve their goals.
